It was strongly hinted that the web-engine embedded in 4D will be replaced by 
something.. the Apache logo was tucked away in the far corner of that slide. 
Summit 2008 at Long Beach.

The current web engine is based on the WebStar BSD codebase, and I understand 
the sole programmer responsible for maintaining it is no longer around.

How this will happen, i.e. how integrated 4D+Apache will be is something that 
we should hear about in the near future.

Is that enough for your needs? It was a just a statement of what's next on the 
chopping block for future versions of 4D.
