Yes, it all happens in the ProxyPassMatch regex, just like it does with 
mod_rewrite. The example I gave you should be changed to:

ProxyPassMatch ^/(.+\.(a4[dp]|asp)(\?.*)?)$ http://localhost:8080/$1

That will match any url whose filename ends in .a4d, .a4p, or .asp.
