We have been having many problems with our production server running A4D and 11.5 server. It will freeze and become un responsive to both web requests and 4D client requests when the cache memroy is only about half full to its 2G capacity. I was wondering if this issue has any part in these lock-ups.
Was the 11.8 memory leak introduced in 11.8, or was present in 11.7 as well? For a 6G RAM xserve with Apache running in front of A4D, this server does not get a lot of traffic for it's horsepower. At peaks like yesterday, they had approximately 80K hits during the entire day, not a significant portion of which is 404 errors. But in the interest of stopping 4D from locking up as it regularly does now (several times per day), can anyone recommend a method to restart the 4D server reliably at, say 4 in the morning?
