Is the a4D demodb set to use NTK, or 4D's web server? I suspect the problem may be the latter. I can't recall if there is a demo DB that uses NTK. You may need to modify the demodb to use the NTK shell code. If you just want to run the demodb with 4D make sure that 4D's web server is enabled. The setting is under 4D preferences somewhere. The NTK demo db that works is a DB that implements an HTTP server in NTK but doesn't use A4D.
