If you use Active4D, there really is no significant difference between setup of 
NTK and the 4D native web server. Technically, using NTK can violate 4D's 
licensing, as you are creating a workaround server, but I haven't heard of 4D 
cracking down on this either. 

With Active4D, you can embed 4D code (with a few minor differences) right into 
your web page and do anything you want. Active4D provides a number of tools to 
help with common tasks, but you still need to know your HTML and CSS. It 
doesn't hide that stuff from you at all.

Based on your comments, I'd really recommend taking a look at Lightning. It is 
designed for to handle most of the underlying web coding for you, and a number 
of developers swear by it:
