Thanks for all the replies. I feel a lot better about being able to meet this
requirement now. As suggested, I'll propose Apache -> 4D Client -> 4D Server.
One problem I foresee is I run 4D server on a hosted manged server (Peer1),
which automatically logs the user out after 15 minutes (or something like
that). As a result, I have to run 4D server as a service so it isn't shut down
too. Can I run 4D Client as a service? My biggest concern is adding 4D Client
to the equation adds another failure point. This website has been running
pretty flawlessly for 8 years now straight from 4D Server.
Or could I just go Apache -> 4D Server, but present it as Apache -> A4D -> 4D
server. Obviously A4D and Server would be running together, but as also
mentioned, they might be open to having everything on the same box as long as
the different tiers are sufficiently segregated.
Lastly, what's the trick to posting on Nabble? I thought I use to be able to
reply directly from the website, but I'm having to send this out as a new email
to get on the list.
Thanks again,
Jason
