PA2 uses what is now kde-workspace KDE/4.8. We use kde-workspace master
for PA3 development. There are several patches applied to kde-workspace too.

The issue is that ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc in PA2 includes the line
LayoutName=thumbnails. If we do not edit or remove that line from
~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc the new configuration in
/usr/share/kde4/config/kwinrc after an upgrade to PA3 devel packages will not
take effect.
