Which NetIQ tool does this?

The expensive solution is to have a tool, NetIQ does a great job. There
are
other ways though, have a VB or PERL script that enumerates the systems
in a
domain and sets the admin password, I know it can be done, that's all
NetIQ
does under the hood. I think that one or another of the script
repositories
has a script that will do this. I know that login scripts are a BAD
place
to change the local admin password, it takes local admin rights to do
so,
and I would hope that all of your users aren't local admins! As for
changing the domain admin password, you should be able change it just
fine,
so long as you didn't do anything stupid such as make services run as
that
account.

I have tried but it has been unsuccesful, maybe microsoft in it's
infinite
wisdom decide against allowing such actions becuase of the possible
security
risks it could impose however when I set up a new worstation or server I
set
the local admin password to be the same as the Domain password. Have not
had
a reason to change the domain password yet and I shutter to think about
having to do so.
