I discovered today that the problem lies with DNS. The clients are configured
to request internet and email DNS records from outside our domain. When I
reconfigure the clients' primary DNS to point to the domain controller on our
network, Group Policies are enforced. The problem then is that they no longer
have internet and email access. I believe this will be resolved when I upgrade
and existing NT server to w2k server and configure it's DNS as a forwarder.

Is this assumption correct?
