Thanks for the help. Are you saying that if I make the disk dynamic, I will be able to 
extend a partition on the fly. If that is possible how do I go about doing that.

As well as anything else you might try, you might want to check out making
the disk dynamic [if it isn't already].

...then move the data off the most under-used (or easiest to move)
volume/partition.

...then extend the volume/partition that needs more room into the resulting
space using the disk manager.  That way you'd end up with 3
volumes/partitions, but the computer would see them as 2.

In that way you could accomplish what you want using the OS.

Using Partion Magic with the proprietary Compaq RAID controller is something
I would only do if I wanted to test my backups and recovery plan.
