Hi andy, Thanks for the help. Are you saying that if I make the disk dynamic, I will be able to extend a partition on the fly. If that is possible how do I go about doing that. Thanks

That way you'd end up with 3 volumes/partitions, but the computer would see them as 2. In that way you could accomplish what you want using the OS. Using Partion Magic with the proprietary Compaq RAID controller is something I would only do if I wanted to test my backups and recovery plan.
