What sort of custom security have you implemented? [1]

Probably the best (and maybe only) way to find out is to pull a BDC out to
an isolated lab network, promote it to a BDC and then upgrade.

What would happen if I upgraded a NT4 domain that had lots of custom
security implemented? Would it carry over into AD?

Subject: [ActiveDir] Migration Question

Can you take an existing NT4 Domain and upgrade to Win 2K and when
DCPromo
runs make it a child domain of a domain root when the AD Domain is
running
in native mode? I want to find a way to bring in the machine accounts
with
out having to use a tool to migrate them in. Thanks
