Ok I figured out to search. But when I try to remove the value it spits out:

Access to the attribute is not permitted because the attribute is owned by the SAM.

Could someone translate that one?

Someone else will have to answer that; I don't use ADSIEdit that much. I use our own utilities or LDP usually. You can search the tree using LDP.

Is there a way to search the whole thing in ADSI Edit?

Try LDP or ADSIEDIT. The MMC is trying to read some specific attribute.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Distro List issue

Hello all,

I have a distribution list that has no members in my AD. It's not even displaying the right icon in the admin snap-in. When I right click on it and choose delete it tells me It doesn't have the privileges to do so, specifically: The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist.

So my question is how do I get rid of it? And could this prevent my Offline address book from generating correctly?

TIA,
