Robert,

Looks to me as though you have a good start on an action plan for
optimizing your inter-site replication topology.  Obviously, the first
part is to know what you have, the capabilities, etc.  Then, because we
are dealing with the Network Topology, delaing with this in much the
same way that router link costing in handled greatly enhances the
success.

It also helps if you enlist the aid of your network engineer(s) (if you
aren't already doing that role too!) because this process is the
parallel in AD to the physical structure of your network.

It also helps to manually assign your bridgeheads - typically this would
be a more powerful computer as it will now be responsible for more.
