Assuming you mean the user information is still in the exchange 5.5
information store heres what you can do. Goto the properties of
your "Servers" container and choose the advanced tab. You can do whats
called a "DS/IS Consistency Adjustment". The option you want to run is under the
private store section called "Synchronize with the directory, and create new
directory entries for mailboxes that do not have a corresponding directory
entry."
The
names will reappear in the recipients container of the 5.5 server and ADC will
in all likelyhood create names in AD as well. Dont run any of the other options
without reading up on them first. The public folder ones can be real heck to
recover from if your not careful...

Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] OT: Exchange2000 ADC with 5.5I'm not sure this helps, but....you may want to try using exmerge to extract the data from the info store and covert it to pst files. That way, if you have to recreate the users you can (at a later time) import the pst files back into their new, empty mailboxes.Luis Aguilera

Subject: [ActiveDir] OT: Exchange2000 ADC with 5.5Hello! I have a hypothetical question for you E2K gurus! I have an ADC 2 way connection agreement between a 5.5 box and an E2K box. I successfully replicated the CA and users were created in the Users OU in my AD from the 5.5 replication...
My question is this: I deleted a few users from the Users OU in AD that were replicated from 5.5 - their mailboxes are now missing in the 5.5 recipients container but their data in the information store is still there. Is there a way to get those recipients back without manually recreating them?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Joe
