user information is still in the exchange 5.5 information store heres what you
can do. Goto the properties of
your "Servers" container and choose the advanced tab. You
can do whats called a "DS/IS Consistency Adjustment". The option you
want to run is under the private store section called "Synchronize with
the directory, and create new directory entries for mailboxes that do not have
a corresponding directory entry." The names will reappear
in the recipients container of the 5.5 server and ADC will in all likelyhood
create names in AD as well. Dont run any of the other options without reading
up on them first. The public folder ones can be real heck to recover from if
