Are you referring to software raid or hardware raid? The type of software
raid being used can be determined by running diskmgmt.msc. You will have
to break the RAID configuration and rebuild it if you decided to re-install
Windows.

If you are using hardware raid then you wont have to rebuild the RAID setup

Subject: [ActiveDir] building a RAID

Hi, I'm looking at blowing out my W2k/E2k server. How can I determine
what Raid level is setup on it? And If I format the drives, do I have to
break the Raid and rebuild the Raid?

Thanks,
John
