I've taken a gander at the doc listed below. I take it that when I extend the schema to use the Employee Number or ID, update can be made via the vbs script. Does it put a block in the "user & Computer" display so the Employee number of ID can be added when adding a new user? Or would I only have the capability of doing this from the command line.
Has anyone actually done this? The employeeid field does exist - it's just not tied to a class that would allow it to be effectivley used. Here's an article that will shed some light, and show how it can be used: http://www.ntfaq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=21588 Good catch! I have a requirement to add the employ id's to the AD.. I could use another field that is not being used, but, that wouldn't be professional.
