The
older versions blew chunks for SNMP stuff, although I've got some hope WUG 8
will fix that. I just installed it and I'm trying to get time to play with
it.
My
other pet peeve is how it throws alerts that a print spooler is down when
there's a single bad print job and the other 40 queus are flowing
fine.

Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] Active Directory Monitoring with MOMIsn't information about things like message queues available via SNMP? I'm using WUG, after having used both NetIQ and MOM and am finding that it's a good package for basic needs, is acceptable at more involved monitoring, has good support, is pretty configurable, and is nicely priced. We're using it to monitor services, events, ports, and for SNMP collection.-----Original Message-----

Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] Active Directory Monitoring with MOMIt monitors the services, yes. It doesn't monitor Exchange or AD, however.Nothing in WUG will monitor replication delay, message queues, etc.--------------------------------------------------------------
