I don't remember the specifics (its been a while) but proxy settings are tricky, and the Internet Connection Wizard screws them up - it has to be run prior to the proxy setting taking effect. I can't find the specifics, but we ended up not using that option.

I am trying to configure my XP machines in the district to have a default proxy. I have tried doing this by setting the machine to get proxy settings per machine instead of per user. I have also tried this via group policy in the AD. The settings seem to be overwritten by the local machine's default settings. Is there a script or anythign that can accomplish this?
