Lots of discussion about this over in Full Disclosure
list. Seems that the problem is related to (as far as I've been following
it... it's gotten a bit inane) the fact that A records are being favored over MX
on the resolution - which is causing mail to be sent to a host that MAY not be
able to take care of it.
However, I might have been so bored over the 'bitch and
moan' of F-D (the last time I looked at Verisign type posts, the discussion was
over how could they SPAM Verisign and SiteFinder.... *sigh*) that this
wasn't really the case, but seemed quite a bit more interesting than
fact.

Is anyone here having problems with their DDNS configurations due to the change. Does anyone know if someone is working on a patch for MS DDNS. http://www.verisign.com/resources/gd/sitefinder/implementation.pdf http://www.circleid.com/article/260_0_1_0_C/ ISC is patching BIND to block the move: http://www.computerworld.com/developmenttopics/websitemgmt/story/0,10801,85059,00.html Thanks, Todd Myrick |
