Manjeet-
The normal way to set up a roaming profile is to simply assign a profile
path within the user's AD account. For example, you might enter
\\server\profiles\%username% on at that AD attribute and then when the
user logs off a workstation, their profile is copied up to that server
and share under a folder named for the user. That is essentially all
there is to it. Keep in mind that using roaming profiles makes life more
complicated for you and your users, because roaming profiles can behave
strangely in certain low-bandwidth scenarios and just in general they
add to the complexity of troubleshooting profile problems.

Just a note that Folder Redirection of AppData in and of itself is not
sufficient. Much of the Outlook profile is stored outside of AppData,
specifically in the user's profile (in ntuser.dat).

Do you want to replicate the entire profile or only the Oulook portion
of it? Since you are running Exchange 2000, you must be running Active
Directory. Are you desktop clients all Wincows 2000 or better? If so
you can setup a Group Policy w/ folder redirection. Folder redirection
is under GPO\User Configuration\Windows Settings\Folder Redirection. If
you are only after the Outlook profile information, I think you can just
redirect Application Data. (I haven't tested this.)

Subject: [ActiveDir] Outlook clients Roaming profile

Hi Everyone,

We are using exchange 2000 as a mail server and outlook 2000/2003 as
mail client.
I want to creat the roaming profile for every user so that the user
outlook configuration comes automatically, regardless of any machine he
has logged in.

In other words If a user is loggin on a machine first time the outllok
configuration (i.e server settings and pst locations) should comes
through we can say roaming profile set in the users properties.

Is anyone have idea for how to do this ????

Thanks and Regards
