IP is RPC. Why do you want to switch to SMTP? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Salandra, Justin A. Sent: Monday, June 28, 2004 4:29 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ActiveDir] NTDS Settings in AD Sites and Services
Everyone, I have all my Intersite link transports configured using IP and the automatically generated connections all say that it uses IP. Now on that screen there is a drop down list for Transports and there are options for IP, RPC and SMTP. My question is, if I setup Intersite Link transports under the SMTP folder and remove the IP transport will the transport field on the automatically generated connection update itself? Is it really using RPC if it is listed as IP? What if I don't create any Intersite Link Transports in the SMTP folder and just change the Transport in the drop down link on the automatically generated connection page? Justin A.
