If I understand you correctly, you'd like to add a script to your RIS image that runs after RIS, but takes input from the text mode setup of RIS.
You should be able to add a field to one of the OSC files and use that variable in the GUIRunOnce (e.g. "C:\script.bat %newOSCVariable%") section of your .sif file. You'll also need an autologon for administrator so that it will run unattended. But, you can limit that to one logon. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of activedir Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2005 8:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [ActiveDir] POST RIS Install Questions I would like to use RIS. I have completed the configuration of my *.osc files so that they gather information required and updated the answer file to read those values. My question is, if it is possible to write to disk values do not need to be considered as part of the original installation. For example, I have 3 images: 1. Win2K3 Web 2. Win2K3 Standard 3. Win2K3 Enterprise Each installation can be either a Shared Server, Managed Server or Unmanaged Server. I would like to write a text file or something similar so that I can then have another application read that text file and perform installations based on the value selected during the TEXT portion of the setup process. I am aware of ADS and I do not want to use ADS. Thank you for your replies.
