Scenario: Windows 2000 clustered server. Mail on
one node. File share and printer share on the other node. -
Need the
ability for the Desktop Technicians that install the physical printers to
install them onto the server. -
Printers
are setup using static IP’s and added to the server using IP ports. -
Do not
want to give them local admin rights on the server. Currently These select individuals are in
the local admin group on the server which of course creates many problems in
other areas that we don’t want. Is there are way to give someone the
rights to add a printer to the server without giving them admin rights to the
whole server? Not talking about Printer Operators group which allows them to
manage printers that are already added. Jeff |
