one of the DA's admitted to linking the GP to another OU actually, so my quandry is solved for now. Not being a very useful or knowledgeable DA he also managed to make the sw (was a gpo just for pushing an MSI) reload on all the other OUs. No idea what he did. Just that he's the boss and god forbid I took him out of the DA group. Perhaps on June 13th when I leave this IT operation I'll prepare a document of all the amusing stunts these two admins have made me laugh and scream over the past few years. This is a minor one. The way this works is that the DN of the GPC object is stored on the gpLink attribute on the container object in question. So you could audit on that container object (OU) for changes to gpLink but then you have to figure out which GPO was added/removed by its DN.
