Thanks for the reply. 1: Yes there are GC's in the clients site. 2: I want the Outlook client to connect to the closest GC. DSProxy on Exchange indeed refers the Outlook client to a GC the first time Outlook starts. But I want that not to take place and to hardcode in the client to use the closest GC. Well on the other hand, maybe there is a way to tell Exchange not to provide the client with a gc but to let the client decide what gc to choose. This seems rather tricky to me to say the least.
