I don't think that's right at all ... he's talking AD EDC group, nothing to do with Exchange.
I'm just going to make this up* ... it's a piece of data on the DC's computer account object that helps SAM determine if you deserve the EDC group in your token. Maybe it is a bit in the userAccountControl. * I don't know what I'm talking about, I really did pretty much make that up, because it sounded vaguely familiar, sooo I'm like only 12% sure of all that stuff I just said.
