Hi Brian,

I have to agree with you, however in Microsoft's infinite wisdom they included
Microsoft Network Load Balancing in the Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000
Clustering MOC 2087AC that I took at Quickstart Technologies back in October of
2000 ( I am sure that they have some marketing logic behind it that I just do
not understand yet ). So as far as Microsoft's concerned, Load Balancing and
Failover Clustering fall under the same category. I tend to feel that Failover
clustering and Parallel clustering ( Which Microsoft products do not yet
support and I hope do soon ) are also separate solutions, what's your two cents?

Peace,

Jose

Clustering and Load Balancing I wouldn't really call a tomato tomoto thing.
More an apples and oranges thing. Load Balancing is not a fault tolerant
solution, whereas clustering if something breaks everything moves over to
another node...

Thanks,
Brian Desmond

Greetings Aramide,

I do not believe that Microsoft ISA server 2004 can be clustered per say
using Microsoft Cluster service. I took the ISA server 2000 & 2004 class and
the MOC stated that the ISA 2004 Enterprise edition is designed to be load
balanced which I believe would solve your issue ( It's just a terminology
thing. You say tomato, I say tomoto... ) :-)

Hi guys,

A quick one...does anyone have any idea where I can get documentation on
installing ISA 2004 Standard/Enterprise edition on a Microsoft
Clustering Solution.

Kindest Regards
