I tried comparing the permissions between accounts but I have not found anything, yet.  I agree, I think it’s an ACL somewhere that’s causing the problem. I thought it might be a RID pool problem at first because the account’s in question are all relatively new, thank God it wasn’t related to a RID pool problem.

I will try ADFIND and see, as always thanks for the Joeware tools!!!

There must be something with permissions or possibly there is a character or something that the software doing the query doesn't like. User accounts have sAMAccountName as a mandatory attribute. Does ADFIND dump the info? If not, take a look at the ACL.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Some User accounts dont have sAMAccountName

I have bugzilla Server running for my developers that authenticates against Active Directory. The LDAP search base for authentication is pointed to dc=company,dc=com and it pulls back the sAMAccountName record every user in company except for about 6 users.

I’ve compared accounts that pull back the info I need to the ones that don’t and I’ve found no differences..

Thoughts?

Thanks

Mike
