You either need to allow the dynamic updates or create the DC's records manually. Do the records need to be created in the zones for the server to be reachable? Yes. Do you have to allow dynamic updates in order to create them? No. One way or another, however, you need to get the records created, and dynamic updates are easier than typing GUIDs. :-)
