setting the tcpNoDelayEnabled option to true and putting the ActiveMQ broker
inside the same JVM as the Lingo server raises the rate of request per
second from 4.2 up to 4.9. So this is still far away from the 200 requests
per second when the client os running on the same machine as the server.

Nevertheless thanks for your help so far! I will ask the same question on
the lingo user mailing list and hope to get more hints here.
