Please do not post rich text format to the list. As you will suspect the error means that the package is currently not available in prebuilt format on the default PPM server. The documentation I referred you to in my last message will point you to other repositiores on the net - have you checked them already? If you can't find it you might have to build the package by yourself. Typically that would require that you have Visual C++ (or whatever the compiler is that they use these days) installed in the same location as the guy from ActiveState who built the distribution. Check Config.pm for details. If you don't have the matching compiler, you're pretty much out of luck, unless you are willing to rebuild the complete Perl package. Anyways, if you're set up correctly, you should grab the source package from www.cpan.org, unpack it in your build directory and then do perl Makefile.pl nmake nmake test and if the tests run through, you can run a nmake install HTH, -- Thomas Btzler, Network Engineer, Network Operations EMEA Peregrine Systems GmbH web: www.peregrine.com Steinhuserstrae 22 phone: +49-721-98143-166 D-76135 Karlsruhe / Germany fax: +49-721-98143-196 _______________________________________________ ActivePerl mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
