I have never used Activestate Perl on Solaris asd I am used to building
it myself.

Seems like a lot of threads, unless its something like an F15.

Do you mean terminates unexpectedly, or hangs, or something else?

Don't understand that. I normally use gcore to generate a core file.

Difficult without more information. At least some source code,
preferably a relatively short example that demonstrates the problem.
