Hello,

This is my first post to the ActiveState listserv, so I apologize in advance
if I'm violating any protocols. ;-)

I am hosting a mildly-complex Perl application on Windows Server 2003/IIS 6
with the 5.8 version of ActivePerl. I am using PerlIS.dll. Whenever the
application encounters an error, I usually see the following lines in
PerlIS-Err.log:

  *** 'D:\Intranet\keyster\programs\spell.pl' error
  message at: 2004/02/27 17:23:10
INTERNAL ERROR: PerlParse did not exit clean!!!!

  *** 'D:\Intranet\keyster\programs\spell.pl' error
  message at: 2004/02/27 17:23:10
INTERNAL ERROR: PerlParse did not exit clean!!!!

These will continue over and over, on every single Perl page on the server,
until I restart IIS. It seems that about 25% of the time that a Perl script
executes a "die" statement, this happens.

Has anyone encountered this behavior? Is it related to "die"? Should I use
some other error handling on Win2K/IIS? Is there a way that I can tweak it
to be more robust?

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Cheers,
Portman Wills
