Here is my ruby-debugger output. If anyone knows where I can throw a debugger command to capture why application.html.erb is not being called, then please post.
I put the debugger method in the application controller and the idea controller, and this is what I got when I hit continue (at no point is application.html.erb ever called): (rdb:399) continue 127.0.0.1 - - [18/Dec/2008:18:43:24 EST] "GET /ideas HTTP/1.1" 304 0 - -> /ideas 127.0.0.1 - - [18/Dec/2008:18:43:37 EST] "GET /javascripts/ prototype.js?1229204377 HTTP/1.1" 304 0 http://127.0.0.1:3000/ideas -> /javascripts/prototype.js?1229204377 127.0.0.1 - - [18/Dec/2008:18:43:38 EST] "GET /javascripts/effects.js?
