The object tag is just a container for the VB/C++/whatever program that is running using activeX I assume, therefore the VB program will interface with the dongle in exactly the same way as it does on the server.
As this is weighty API orientated stuff, I would honestly suggest trying the question on a primarily Visual Basic group. Sorry. I really am. ;-) -----Original Message----- From: Nik [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 10 September 2002 11:03 To: ActiveServerPages Subject: Running an OCX Control using OBJECT Hi Have inherited an OCX control designed to interface with a key {dongle] plugged into the back of any number of client PCs. It's there to control the amount of time an associated program can been used. The control has been tested successfully server-side. My problem is getting it to run client-side from a web page using the OBJECT tag, as I've never done this before. You can assume that the client has the OCX installed. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
