hi Ken:
My xp home wasn't an upgrade, it was already factory installed on the
computer. This computer that I have here was a replacement from hp for a
computer that we purchased that didn't have several of "their" programs
working on the computer. It took me almost a year to resolve the problem.

I didn't know too much about the xp at the time. Had I known, I would have
requested that maybe they could send me the xp pro. Although I can't
really complain because I went from a 40gig hd, windows me os to a 80 gig
hard drive with xp home in it. I guess many things in life would be
different if we could live with foresite instead of hindsite!

As soon as I get the money I will do an upgrade to xp pro.

I appreciate your help, and I'll take another look at the link that you
sent to me. I just wanted to let you know that this was a factory install,
not an upgrade.

Thanks for the adice on the cassini. how would I double check to make sure
that I didn't install this 2x's? Or would this not do a double install?
You'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge about some things, I have only
been on a computer since feb 01. Grin, I have hp to thank for the desire
to learn as much as possible and to do the things that I'm trying to
learn. Had it not been for the probs I would never have begun my quest in
learning these things. Finding more and more to interest me.
