All of Purdue's policies (not necessarily procedures) are archived in the system used by our libraries, ContentDM. This system has PDF files that can be searched and viewed by anyone online. When this began, libraries scanned all our paper documents into the system in batches and converted them to OCR PDFs (optical character recognition). Now we just upload PDF versions of our Word files as needed. Here's the link to our site: http://earchives.lib.purdue.edu/collections/ppa/

I have been asked to become the archivist for university procedures (we don't have a centralized University Archives). Are any of you currently performing this role? If so, can share your system? I'm getting caught up in the minutiae of a dual paper/electronic system. I'm convinced I am overthinking this. Best, Sarah L.
