Hi Ruth,

We are just addressing a new campus policy called "Animals on Campus" which
includes specifics about service and emotional support animals. We don't have
the same patient issues that you experience since we're not one of the UT
health institutions like your campus.

I'd be happy to forward it to anyone who would like to see it but it is still
in draft form only. The draft has not been blessed by legal counsel, our
president or our UT System Office of General Counsel. But it has passed our
Policy Office Advisory Group review. There was quite a lot of "rumble" from
faculty council surrounding the service animals in training in bldgs./offices,
but we are following TX state law with respect to those requirements.

Hope to meet/see some of your in Chicago - ACUPA Conference 2013!

Subject: [acupa-l] Service animals?

Greetings from the Gulf of Mexico. Does anyone have a policy pertaining to
service animals in either or both the inpatient/outpatient environments as well
as academic or employee environments?
