Hi Ruth,

We certainly struggled with one rule for all corners of the UW (including our
hospitals and clinics). Here is our Washington Administrative Code chapter
(Chapter 478-128 WAC) Animal Control at the University of
Washington<http://www.washington.edu/admin/rules/policies/WAC/478-128TOC.html>.
We discuss and define pets, service animals, working animals (including
therapy animals), wildlife, research animals, and animal mascots.

My best,

Rebecca

Subject: [acupa-l] Service animals?

Greetings from the Gulf of Mexico. Does anyone have a policy pertaining to
service animals in either or both the inpatient/outpatient environments as well
as academic or employee environments?
