Hi Holly, We have a glossary of terms for administrative policies <http://policy.umn.edu/categories/glossary.cfm>, and have established some standards and a process for handling our glossary. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't one for the institution.
It appears that each major area might have something specific to their focus. For example, here is the one for financial aid: http://onestop.umn.edu/finances/financial_aid/basics/glossary.html and a link to a separate one to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education http://www.acgme.org/acgmeweb/Portals/0/PFAssets/ProgramRequirements/ab_ACGMEglossary.pdf .
