Vladimir:

At Ohio State, we have a "VP and Chief Compliance Officer," who heads the
Office of University Compliance and Integrity. He would be our "chief ethics
officer." A very brief PD is attached. The office has developed since Gates
was hired, which is the reason for the scribbles on page two...

Subject: [acupa-l] Position Description - Chief Ethics Officer

At The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MD Anderson), we are
exploring memorializing the criteria and selection process for the Chief Ethics
Officer.

Before doing so, however, we wanted to know how other ACUPA institutions have
structured their Chief Ethics Officer positions.

* Could you please let me know whether or not the Chief Ethics Officer
is a stand-alone position at your institution?

* If it is not, could you please let me know what individual at your
institution serves as the Chief Ethics Officer (e.g., Chief Compliance and
Ethics Officer, Chief Legal and Ethics Officer, etc.)?

* And if you have a job description for the Chief Ethics Officer
position, could you please share the job description and/or responsibilities
with me?

We are more than happy to share the results of this request with everyone on
the e-mail distribution.

Any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

Thank you.

Vlad
