Hi Amy,

If such a policy gets developed - I'd love to see the definition for
microaggressions. We've been down in the weeds with some similar definitions
(for bullying and other mean-spirited behaviors). And, it seems fairly easy to
label an act as a microaggression after the event, but I've found developing a
useful definition to be very difficult, especially for multicultural and
international students who might view a situation quite differently.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks!

Rebecca

Subject: [acupa-l] Microaggression Policy

Dear ACUPA members,

Our Vice Provost for Diversity & Equity is interested in developing a policy
that would prohibit microaggressions on campus. Has such a policy been
discussed or developed on your campus? I would be interested in any information
you can share.

Thank you,
Amy
