Ms. Bradshaw,

Along the line of what Ms. Rowe mentioned, I'd say what they see as an
appropriate level of involvement. Our GC officially only wants to "touch" the
policy once as an ideal (right before the president), but a few of the
attorneys prefer to be involved from inception, offering "informal reviews" as
the policy writer develops the draft. There are some that have a very "hands
off" approach, and some that have a very "hands on" approach. Also getting an
idea of how procedures should be separated from--or blended into--a policy
might be insightful. This can differ from attorney to attorney here, and is
probably the policy area that lacks the most clarity or consistency, given that
variance.

Subject: [acupa-l] General Council Interview Questions

Our Policy Steering Committee is being given the opportunity to interview the
final candidates for our new General Counsel position. Do any of you have
suggestions for some pertinent questions you wish you had been able to ask
BEFORE your General Counsel was hired? Thanks for your time!

Conquer On,

Sylvia~
