Hello ACUPA Members, We are pleased to announce the 2016 ACUPA conference! Registration will be open on February 2nd at ACUPA.org <http://acupa.site-ym.com/?>.
Please join us May 5-7, 2016 in Minneapolis, Minn. to celebrate the diverse nature of policy work with your ACUPA colleagues. We’ll kick off the conference with a welcome at 11:00 on May 5 followed by a keynote address delivered by Deborah Bosley, owner of the Plain Language Group <http://www.theplainlanguagegroup.com/>. Bosley will also host a workshop immediately following her keynote address that will focus on plain language writing in policy. The conference will conclude at noon on May 7. Eight breakout sessions scheduled over the two days cover the following topics: - Effective policy management - Engaging with general counsel - Role of policy in enterprise risk management - Translating practice into education policies - Clery, VAWA, Title IX - Programs involving minors - Policy management potpourri - Orientation to the new ACUPA website More details on the conference sessions and logistics are now available on the ACUPA site under the Home tab (2106 ACUPA – in Minneapolis). We are planning a very special networking event the first evening of the conference so be sure to bring your deck shoes! You’ll meet new colleagues and reunite with old friends as we cruise the Mississippi for two hours. To encourage early registration, we are offering an early-bird rate for individuals who pay for registration prior to March 19 (see table below).
