Hi Pilar, NWACC uses "policy advisory groups" to draft new or revised policies. These generally include representatives from the department/division with oversight and knowledge of the policy and processes. This group starts by submitting a policy impact statement form to the policy office. This document is organic and follow the policy throughout development or revision.
I tried to attach the "PIS" in my reply but it was rejected by the list serve (hmmmm.... :)). I will send it to you in a personal email. Hello Everyone! Our institution uses writing committees to draft and revise policies. I was wondering which of your institutions might use committees as well; I'd love to ask you a few questions about your methods. Feel free to respond to me individually as opposed to the entire list.
