Hi Meredith,

ODU does not have a policy that speaks to employee members to our Foundation
boards and Board of Visitors, however, our Board of Visitors does not have
faculty, employee or student members (though we have faculty and student
representatives to our standing committees). The only employees who serve on
our Educational, Athletic and Real Estate Foundation Boards are the president
(as an ex-officio member), and the Vice President for University Advancement
(who serves as the Executive Director of all three foundations.)

Subject: [acupa-l] Affiliated Organization and Advisory Boards

Good afternoon,

We are looking to revise our policy relating to employees serving on advisory
boards or boards of organizations affiliated with the university (i.e.-
Athletic Foundation, Board of Trustees, Board of Visitors).

I would love to hear how you all have tackled this topic in your own policies.

Thanks in advance!
