Hi Brenda,

Many of our policies link to State and Federal laws as appropriate, and it is a
challenge ensuring that the links are checked and updated on a regular basis.
Ideally, it's the responsibility of the policy's designated responsible officer
to notify me when a link has changed, but I also make a point of checking links
within our policies on a regular basis to see if they are still active.

Subject: [acupa-l] hyperlinking to state law in your policies

To all the Lawyers and Lawyerly Policy Directors out there,

I inherited policy that includes hyperlinks to state annotated codes, as the
codes were updated the links have become out of date. Does anyone else include
links to state law, how do make sure the most current law is being cited in
your policy and/or what other best practices are employed in writing policy
mandated by law?

We are observing summer efficiency hours. I am available from 7-4:30 M-TH. We
are closed on Fridays.
