Well no they don’t have to be at the same SP level. It’s just good to have
them all at the same level.

Remember R2 is an addon. One of the steps to installing it is to modify the
schema.

Unless you are going to use the new features; don’t bother installing it.
Especially if you are in production mode……

Do domain controllers have to be at the same OS Service pack level? I have two
DCs. They are both at Windows 2003 Standard SP1. The domain is running at
domain functional level 2003. When creating a new DC to join the domain does
it also have to be at Windows 2003 SP1 or can I create it at SP2? Also, can
the new server be R2 when the previous servers were not at R2.

Logparser will do the log analyzing. Ther are probably a few free log
analyzing tools out there that will do the graphing.

Any recommendations for a freeware log analyzer/trending tool? Something
that reads the IIS logs, and graphs/reports on various things like numbers of
users, referrers, etc.

There seem to be a ton of them out there, it’d just be my luck to pick out one
that was a spyware to test.

Thanks!

Bob
