Yes, it works well.  You have to get the server version for support of
[some] RAID controllers.  I say some because I've used it successfully
with some RAID controllers and had it not recognize others.  I've only
used it from a boot CD, so it required doing so off-hours.  I don't know
anyone who changes partitions frequently enough to need to install it to
be able to run within windows.

 

I've also used Gparted [not qtpartd as someone else called it].  It
works well too, but the UI is a bit more confusing.  At least it was for
me, because I have rather infrequent need to use it.
